More whole grains linked with lower mortality | News | Harvard School of Public Health

For extra health benefits, try a whole grain pasta variety. Whole grains provide a healthy mix of nutrients proven to be beneficial in the fight against heart disease, strokes, type 2 diabetes, even obesity. According to a large new long-term study from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, appeard online January 5, 2015 in JAMA Internal Medicine, eating more whole grains is associated with up to 15% lower mortality—particularly cardiovascular disease (CVD)-related mortality (abstract available here http://archinte.jamanetwork.com/article.aspx?articleid=2087877).
